All eyebrows are unique. Whether you have thick, fine, or no eyebrows, there is room for improvement. At Ink Gal, your eyebrows will be individually customized and tailored to your unique features. This will depend on various factors such as your skin type and the natural state of eyebrows. The mission is to restore and enhance your eyebrows in the most natural way possible to create a vision of fuller looking eyebrows.

On the day of your appointment, you will be introduced to one of three techniques: microblading, nano or powder.

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that is used with a specialized technique to create hair-like strokes to enhance the shape and appearance of the eyebrow structure. Unlike the traditional form of tattooing, this technique uses a manual tool which consists of 7-14 needles that is aligned into a blade form. The custom pigment is dipped in the needles and then deposited into the upper layer of the skin. We find that microblading works best on dry to normal (well-balanced) skin.

Nano brows is specialized technique to create hair-like strokes. Unlike the manual form of microblading, this is used with a mechanical tattooing device with a single needle. This specialized technique is gentle and is suitable for all skin type including oily, textured, mature or sensitive skin.

Powder Brows is a specialized technique using a tattooing device to create eyebrows with a soft shaded effect. It is the closest resemblance to a makeup powder and is recommend those that want to wear the least amount of makeup or want a defined appearance. This technique is suitable for all skin types.

Does the procedure hurt?

Each experience varies depending on the individual’s tolerance to pain. Topical anesthetic is applied throughout the procedure to ensure a comfortable experience. Many have reported that it hurts less than a traditional tattoo and have found their experience more comfortable than they expected. Also, sensitivity may be heightened during menstrual periods.

How long does microblading last?

The effects of the microblading procedure can last anywhere between 12 to 30 months. Touch up sessions may be necessary once the final results are revealed. For oily skin clients, touch up visits may be more frequent than for those who have dry skin.

For powder or nano brows, the effect can last up to 2 years.

I have an old tattoo. Can you cover it?

For those who have previous cosmetic tattoo, the client is required to submit a photo for approval upon booking. A cover up or correction may be provided if the previous work is light enough and the ink is not deposited too deep. Please refer to ‘Brow Rescue’ on the booking site.

How long before I see my results?

The healing process will typically take about 7-14 days and the results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle, and proper aftercare. True results will appear in approximately in 4-6 weeks. Please refer to the ‘care’ section to view the aftercare process. For first time clients, a secondary session is highly encouraged to achieve the best possible results.

What are the side effects of this procedure?

Dark and deep colors will appear on the treated area for the first few days until scabbing takes place. Depending on the client, there may be tenderness or soreness right after the procedure. Minor bleeding or swelling will vary depending on each client’s pre-care prior to the procedure.

How do we choose the color?

Skin undertone and hair color plays a major role in choosing the right color. During the consultation, the artist will discuss of their preferences and examine the client to see what is best suited for them.

Is microblading right for me?

Although we would love to take every individual, microblading is not suited for everyone. The results will vary with each individual and will be based on the health and quality of your skin. Best results tend to be achieved with a natural hair base and normal to dry skin. Oily skin might take longer or more sessions to achieve similar results. However, there may be alternative techniques, such as the powder or nano, that we can assess for you at your consultation. Traditionally known as “lip blushing”, this service is a semi-permanent procedure that enhances the natural shape of the lips. The improved technique is minimally invasive and uses a single needle rotary machine to gently implant the custom pigment into the skin. The benefits of receiving this treatment includes improving the overall shape, correcting or camouflaging of color, and/or creating more definition to achieve fuller looking lips.

The initial appointment will take approximately 3 hours depending on the lip’s measures and retention from the pigment. First time appointments include in depth consultation, shaping and drawing, and the procedure. Topical anesthetic is applied throughout the entire procedure to ensure a comfortable experience.

How long does Lip Rouge last?

The effects of the Lip Rouge procedure may last 2-3 years with necessary sessions. At least two sessions are recommended to achieve optimal results.

Can I wear lipstick on top of my lip rouge tattoo?

Absolutely! Lip Rouge Tattoo is intended to give you a natural blushed finish rather than to replace your favorite lipstick color. You may wear any type of lip products to your liking or simply apply a moisturizing balm for the natural appearance.

Will Lip Rouge Tattoo give me fuller lips?

We are essentially enhancing the lips by adding or correcting color and not creating actual fullness. This procedure is designed to define the lips to create volume which may give the illusion of a fuller appearance.

Will I be able to choose my color?

All colors are carefully customized to each individual’s unique tones and personal preferences. During the collaborative consultation, the artist and the client will discuss which color suits best based on the natural state of the lips.

What are the side effects of Lip Rouge Tattoo?

Vibrant colors will appear on the treated area for the first few days of the healing process. Depending on the individual, swelling and tenderness may occur right after the procedure but will subside within 24 hours. Clients may feel dryness and tightness on their lips for the first few days.

Will having lip fillers affect the process?

You may receive lip fillers before or after lip blushing as long you leave a time frame of 3 weeks in between procedures. We feel that it’s best to do it before so that your lips can stretch for better implantation.
